Anyone who has spent anytime in Haliburton or Central Ontario this summer has felt a little deprived. Okay let’s all admit it. We have all felt a little bit ripped off. Not only have we had more rain then usual, but temperatures have been well below normal across Haliburton County and the province as a whole for most of July and August. Thankfully however, it appears September is looking to make amends for our unusually poor summer weather. Hopefully this means more business for our local area golf courses including Pinestone Resort and Blairhampton Golf Club for the balance of the season. Additionally, evenings this summer have untraditionally involved campfires to keep warm this year. It like looks however, over the next few weeks local residents and cottagers are going to be able to enjoy evening dinning outside as they soak in the beautiful early evening sunsets from their respective lake views.
Myself, if time permits, I am hoping to take a few extra days off the balance of this month. I love my job and engaging with my real estate community, but family is also very important to me so I am looking forward to enjoying this fall season more than usual, and everything that Haliburton Country has to offer as the leaves begin to change into their rusty fall colors.
